SALE RAIL - An over-the-head, classic styled smock with hood, designed for windproof and showerproof use. The Braemar Single Ventile® smock provides good weather protection with a storm flap and adjustable hood and hem.
The Braemar Smock is a versatile garment which can be used for a wide range of activities including cycling, walking, climbing and bushcraft. The smock's versatile hood can be adjusted to fit over a cycling helmet, climbing helmet or bobble hat and the large front kangaroo pocket is ideal for storing an OS map or bits and pieces such as phone or keys.
The smock is named after the village of Braemar, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and beautiful glens containing ancient pine forests. Braemar was famously at the centre of the 1715 Jacobite rebellion. Find out more in our Glossary.

How to measure

Chest. Measure around the torso, under the arms.
Length: standing straight, measure from the nape of your neck down to the required finished length (see image).
Sleeve length: with arm extended out to the side, measure from the centre of your back to the 2nd knuckle on your forefinger (see image).
Product care
Aftercare is the most important thing that you can do to preserve the performance and life of your Hilltrek garment. All outdoor garments will maintain their performance and waterproofness only if kept clean.
Conventional detergents destroy the water-repellent finish on all waterproof garments therefore we recommend Nikwax Aftercare products.
To clean all of our garments we recommend washing in Nikwax Tech Wash®. Alternatively you can dry clean.
In time the water-repellency in your garment may have to be restored for which we recommend using Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In.
Please ensure that your washing machine is cleaned throughly before washing any of our garments.
To clean Karisma Fleece garments, simply use a normal 40 degree wash cycle.
