Short ankle Single Ventile® gaiters ideal for preventing dust and stones getting into boots. Hard-wearing and durable, these breathable, weatherproof gaiters also protect the bottom of trousers from wear and provide an excellent fit around the boot.

These front opening gaiters are easy to put on and take off and an adjustable stirrup strap provides additional security under the boot.

Product care

Aftercare is the most important thing that you can do to preserve the performance and life of your Hilltrek garment. All outdoor garments will maintain their performance and waterproofness only if kept clean.

Conventional detergents destroy the water-repellent finish on all waterproof garments therefore we recommend Nikwax Aftercare products.

To clean all of our garments we recommend washing in Nikwax Tech Wash®. Alternatively you can dry clean.

In time the water-repellency in your garment may have to be restored for which we recommend using Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In. 

Please ensure that your washing machine is cleaned throughly before washing any of our garments.

To clean Karisma Fleece garments, simply use a normal 40 degree wash cycle. 

Delivery

  1. Shipping And Handling
    1. We reserve the right to choose the most efficient and effective delivery option available. This may be Royal Mail or a Courier Service.
    2. Where an item is in stock it will be dispatched immediately – most courier services deliver within 3 / 5 working days of dispatch (UK only; international deliveries take longer). All deliveries are subject to tracking and details will be provided if you request them.
    3. Our charges are set out below :
      • UK: £3.00 for orders of value less than £99.99; £8.80 for orders of value less than £149.99; £11 on orders above £150
      • EU orders outside the UK: £15 for orders of value less than £99.99; £22 for orders £100 and above.
      • Worldwide outside the EU: £18 for orders of value less than £99.99; £36 for orders £100 and above
  2. Delivery Schedule
    1. If an item is in stock it will be dispatched immediately. Please note that we hold minimal stock due to the range of sizes, colours and options we offer.
    2. If your item is not in stock, we will make it to order for you. You will always be notified of this fact and retain the option to cancel the order.
    3. Items purchased online which are made to order will be subject to typical delivery of 8 weeks. If you require faster please let us know.
    4. Items purchased online which include a customised option are all made to order and are subject to delivery of up to 8 weeks – (we do say that all good things are worth waiting for!)
    5. Made to Measure garments may take up to 12 weeks.
    6. Delivery of bespoke garments is typically 12 to 14 weeks.

Returns

  1. Returns Policy
    1. You have the right to cancel within seven days of placing your order with us, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). You must inform us in writing (preferably by e-mail at sales@hilltrek.co.uk ) of your intention to cancel the order or return goods to seek a refund.
    2. If you cancel your order, your payment will be refunded in full, usually using the method used for the original payment, once the goods are received back at Hilltrek. The refund will usually take place within 7 days. This excludes sales items.
    3. If you cancel your order for a sales item(reduced from full retail price and included on the sales rail) we will refund the item in full but retain the shipping price.
    4. Charges for shipping and insuring your return package are your responsibility. Please be sure to insure the contents of your package prior to shipping as we cannot be responsible for uninsured packages.
    5. All goods returned must be in an unused condition and fit for re-sale as new, in the condition in which you received them. We reserve the right to refuse any refund if goods are returned used and not fit for re-sale as new and to charge a restocking fee of 25% of the purchased price.
    6. Items purchased online which include a customised option are all made to order and we reserve the right to retain 25% of the purchase price.
    7. If you are returning the goods from outside the UK. The following must be included in the documentation accompanying the item-EORI GB816915513000, Commodity Code of item(see invoice), Reason for return, Country of Origin UK, a copy of the invoice which came with the goods.

    As with everything I have purchased from Hilltrek, these gaiters are robustly sewn together and fit perfectly.Hilltrek has been my first stop for outdoor clothing for a very long time.

    Great for keeping feet dry and socks clean

    I used these while hill walking and wild camping in Scotland over 5 days. They were great at preventing wet grass and dense heather from getting my socks and boots soaked, and easily stood up to consistent light rain.

    The gaiters are designed so they stayed in place even without the strap.

    Would highly recommend these for everything other than wading through above-ankle deep water.

    Very well made, would have given five stars but there is no hook to attach to the boot lace, This may not be a problem since I haven't tried them in thick heather yet. All in all, I am very impressed with build, stitching and the material, and I am consequently contemplating a pair of Hilltrek breeks. It is very pleasing to see a British company producing such good quality, and individualistic, outdoor clothing. I shall recommend Hilltrek to my friends.

    Breath-able "Stop Tous"

    In the 1970's Karrimor made a 100% cotton canvas Stop Tous. That worked well in keeping small stones out of the boots but allowed the feet to breath. Today I have been hunting high and low for fully 100% cotton canvas of the same thing because all the other materials, even Goretex gaiters, do not allow my feet to breath. Even after just a 5 mile hike all the sweat is on the inside of Goretex gaiters. I didn't really want to pay for Ventile gaiters because it is not a heavy weight like canvas and the inevitable chaffing will wear a hole at the ankel bones of both left and right legs'. I know because I have been wearing full length and short ankle gaiters since 1970's, every week and that is where they wear out (apart from the straps). Anyhow, as Hilltrek is the only supplier of real breathable ankle gailers in UK, it was worth waiting a month for this made to order item to arrive. 4 stars out of 5 because I would rather pay for thicker 100% cotton canvas rather than this thinner Ventile as you don't need Ventile to stop the stones. If there is any chance of the feet getting wet then naturally I would wear full length Ventile gaiters.
