  3. Making A Purchase
    1. Our aim is to ensure that your shopping experience with us is as easy as possible.
    2. Browse our on line store and add any items that you wish to buy to the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for all details that we need to be able to complete the order.
    3. We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from a country outside the UK place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to the appropriate currency rate. Please note that all orders via the website take full payment at the time of placing an order.
    4. We will acknowledge all orders placed however, it only indicates we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us nor does it indicate that we have guaranteed to validate the order and supply goods. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice and dispatch the goods. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
    5. If your order is not accepted we will cancel the order, notify you by e–mail and arrange a refund generally refunding by the method of original payment when the order was placed.
    6. If you have paid a deposit when placing an order for Made to Measure or Bespoke items then the full balance must be paid prior to the dispatch of goods.
    7. For the convenience of international customers, prices can be displayed in Euros or US dollars. This is for information only - you will be charged at checkout in British pounds. International payments may be subject to currency conversion charges by your credit card provider or Paypal.
  4. Made To Measure and Bespoke Clothing
    1. Please note that we reserve the right to increase the price of a Made to Measure or Bespoke garment when the dimensions of the garment require a change in our standard pattern. We will advise this price change before manufacturing the garment.
    2. Where an order for a Made to Measure garment is received we will make the garment based on the measurements provided by the customer. Any error made in the provision of these measurements will be the liability of the customer. We will always provide help and support to ensure the correct measurements are supplied.
    3. We reserve the right to retain 25% of the price of garments ordered under our Made to Measure service if the order has been cancelled after the manufacture of the garment has started. Our Bespoke service includes a 50% non-refundable fee.
  5. Shipping And Handling
    1. We reserve the right to choose the most efficient and effective delivery option available. This may be Royal Mail or a Courier Service.
    2. Where an item is in stock it will be dispatched immediately – most courier services deliver within 3 / 5 working days of dispatch (UK only; international deliveries take longer). All deliveries are subject to tracking and details will be provided if you request them.
    3. Our charges are set out below :
      • UK: £2.50 for orders of value less than £60; £7.95 for orders of value £60 and above; free on orders above £350.
      • EU orders outside the UK: £5.50 for orders of value less than £60; £12 for orders £60 and above.
      • Worldwide outside the EU: £20.
  6. Delivery Schedule
    1. If an item is in stock it will be dispatched immediately.
    2. If your item is not in stock, we will make it to order for you. You will always be notified of this fact and retain the option to cancel the order.
    3. Items purchased online which are made to order will be subject to typical delivery of 4 to 6 weeks. If you require faster please let us know.
    4. Items purchased online which include a customised option are all made to order and are subject to delivery of up to 8 weeks – (we do say that all good things are worth waiting for!)
    5. Made to Measure garments may take up to 10 weeks.
    6. Delivery of bespoke garments is typically 10 to 12 weeks.
  7. Tax Charges
    1. For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included. All other orders are VAT free.
  8. Credit Card Security
    1. Credit card payments are handled by our secure, third party payment gateway - we do not hold or have any access to your credit card details. Credit card details are transmitted from you to the payment gateway over a secure connection.
  9. Guarantee
    1. We guarantee that all garments and orders supplied by us are made to a high standard and are supplied as specified on the website and promotional literature.
    2. All of our products are supplied with a 30 day no quibble guarantee.
    3. All products we manufacture come with a standard guarantee against manufacturing and fabric defects. All defects must be reported to us immediately upon receipt of the goods or immediately they become apparent.
    4. Our products come with a guarantee that covers the original owner for the usable lifetime of the product. We are aware that from time to time faults can appear; should a product fail due to defects in workmanship and/or materials, we will repair the item free of charge or replace at our discretion.
    5. Products which are damaged as a result of accident, wear and tear, improper care or negligence, or the natural breakdown of materials over time, even if accelerated by environmental conditions, are excluded from warranty.
    6. Please note that any damage to one of our garments through normal "wear and tear" or accidental damage can be repaired for a reasonable cost. Please refer to the Repairs page [www.hilltrek.co.uk/about-hilltrek/repairs]. If you return an article for repair charges for shipping and insuring your package are your responsibility. Please be sure to insure the contents of your package prior to shipping as we cannot be responsible for uninsured packages. Items sent in for warranty repair must have a Return Authorisation Number and should be shipped to: Hilltrek Ltd, Ballater Rd, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK, AB34 5HN
  10. Privacy Policy
    1. Hilltrek Outdoor Clothing do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
    2. Cookies are small files saved to the your computer that track, save and store information about your interactions and usage of our website. This allows us to operate the ecommerce features of the site and provide you with a tailored experience within it.
      If you wish to prevent the use of cookies from this website on your computer you should take necessary steps within your web browser's security settings to block cookies from this site and its external serving vendors. If you block cookies in this way, you will not be able to place orders or use other features of the site.
    3. This website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computers hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information.     4. Data collected by this site is used to:
      • Take and fulfil customer orders.
      • Administer and enhance the site and service.
      • Disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
      • Register to receive the Hilltrek Newsletter only when you have agreed to receive it.
    5. Note that we use a third party digital email company to send out our newsletter. If you have registered to receive our newsletter your details will be held on an area on their server, to which we only have access. Other than this case your details will not be passed to third parties.
    6. Our website contains links to other services and retailers. We do not seek to guarantee them or the products and services they provide. 
  11. Returns Policy
    1. You have the right to cancel within seven days of placing your order with us, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). You must inform us in writing (preferably by e-mail at sales@hilltrek.co.uk ) of your intention to cancel the order or return goods to seek a refund.
    2. If you cancel your order, your payment will be refunded in full, usually using the method used for the original payment, once the goods are received back at Hilltrek or we receive your notice of cancellation. The refund will usually take place within 7 days.
    3. Charges for shipping and insuring your return package are your responsibility. Please be sure to insure the contents of your package prior to shipping as we cannot be responsible for uninsured packages.
    4. All goods returned must be in an unused condition and fit for re-sale as new, in the condition in which you received them. We reserve the right to refuse any refund if goods are returned used and not fit for re-sale as new and to charge a restocking fee of 25% of the purchased price.
